Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standards of care. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals will be vital in delivering personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management. Maintain accurate records of care provided and contribute to the development of care plans. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes, ensuring compliance with organisational policies. Uphold the dignity and respect of all individuals in your care while promoting their independence.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with residents and team members. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients as part of your duties. Proficiency in IT systems will be beneficial for managing documentation and records efficiently.
