Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standards of care. Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive patients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting patients. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with patients and colleagues. Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using healthcare software systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with diverse individuals. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others in need of care. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when working independently.
