Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will assist with daily living activities, implement care plans, and foster a supportive environment for our clients.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication management. Implement individual care plans tailored to the needs of each client. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the healthcare team. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive care approach. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the care environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate client transport. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using electronic health systems. A caring attitude with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in your care. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when working independently. Pay: 12.80-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 60 per week
