Job Overview

Loch Healthcare Services is seeking

dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistants / Support Workers

to join our growing team across Surrey and Southwest London. You will be responsible for delivering

high-quality, person-centred care

that supports individuals to live with

independence, dignity, and choice

.

You will work in a variety of care settings including

residential care homes, supported living schemes, and domiciliary (home-based) care

, supporting individuals with different levels of need. Your responsibilities will include implementing individual care plans, supporting with daily activities, and encouraging safe engagement in community life. You will also contribute to accurate care documentation and uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility support, according to individual care plans. Assist with meal preparation, nutrition monitoring, and medication prompts or administration (where appropriately trained). Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of care delivery. Support safe transportation of clients to appointments, activities, or community engagement where needed. Build positive, respectful relationships with service users, their families, and healthcare professionals. Observe and report any changes in service users' physical or emotional health, behaviour, or needs. Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records using appropriate IT systems. Work in line with safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality standards.
Essential Skills & Experience

Minimum of

7 months UK-based care experience

. Experience in care homes, domiciliary care, or supported living (preferred). Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Basic IT literacy for recording and communication purposes. A respectful, empathetic, and professional approach to care.

UK Driving Licence

preferred.
Mandatory Requirements

Two professional references covering a minimum of 3 years' employment history, with

at least one reference from the care sector

. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). Completion of, or willingness to complete before starting: Dementia Awareness Fire Safety First Aid Food Hygiene Health & Safety Infection Control Medication Management Moving and Handling Safeguarding Adults and Children Mental Capacity Act (MCA) Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
