Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and delivering high-quality care in a home or care home setting. The Support Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those they support.

Duties

Assist clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met. Provide senior care by supporting daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring all aspects of care are addressed. Perform first aid when necessary and respond effectively to emergencies.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with medication administration and basic first aid practices is an advantage. A background in patient care or senior care will be beneficial for this position. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
