Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including care homes and nursing homes. Duties

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene. Providing emotional support and companionship to enhance the well-being of clients. Administering medication as prescribed and ensuring compliance with care plans. Supporting individuals with dementia through behaviour management techniques. Assisting with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients during transfers. Driving clients to appointments or social activities as required. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Maintaining accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.

Experience

The successful candidate should possess:

Previous experience in a similar role within a care home or nursing home setting is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices and hospice care principles is advantageous. A background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications will be considered an asset. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. A compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
