We're looking for a kind, reliable care worker to support a lovely lady in the
ST4 Aarea
with her daily routine at home. The calls are short and focused, but they make a real difference - helping her start the day well, have support at lunchtime, and settle safely for the evening.
This role is ideal for someone who is naturally caring, punctual, and happy working as part of a routine that someone depends on.
Call times (daily):
Morning:
07:00 - 08:15 (1 hour 15 minutes)
Lunch:
13:00 - 13:30 (30 minutes)
Bed call:
19:00 - 20:15 (1 hour 15 minutes)
Weekend cover is essential:
You must be able to cover
Saturday, Sunday and Monday
. We can offer
two days off during the week
if needed, arranged around the rota.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Support with medication administration following prescribed care plans
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
Help clients with mobility and light physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in client condition
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional wellbeing
Manage behaviour effectively using appropriate techniques for dementia or Alzheimer's care
Support with household chores to ensure a clean and safe environment
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalised care plans
Monitor and report any concerns regarding health or safety promptly
Skills & Experience
At least 6 months' experience in care
, either in home care, care homes, or a similar support role
Confidence with
moving and handling
and supporting mobility safely
Experience or confidence with
medication administration
, following care plans and MAR charts
Able to support with
personal care
, daily routines and light household tasks
Calm and patient approach, especially when responding to changes in mood or behaviour
Compassionate and respectful, with a genuine focus on dignity and wellbeing
Able to work independently in someone's home while staying in touch with the wider care team
Reliable, organised and able to follow care notes and report concerns clearly
Physically able to support daily care tasks as required
