Weekend Support Worker - Norfolk Area

We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable

Weekend Support Worker

to join our small, committed team supporting a young adult with complex needs in the Norfolk area.

He lives at home with his loving and supportive family, who are actively involved in his care. He has a life-limiting genetic condition, a learning disability, and global developmental delay. Consistent weekend care is essential to ensure his safety, wellbeing, and quality of life.

He relies on his support team for:

PEG feeding and management Personal care Transportation Support with decision-making and daily activities
Due to the nature of his condition, the absence of appropriate support could lead to serious health risks, including self-neglect. He also experiences episodes of challenging behaviour, so we are looking for someone who can respond with calmness, patience, and professionalism.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and developmental delays Confidence in managing PEG feeding and personal care Ability to respond to behaviours that challenge with empathy and skill Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with families and other carers Availability to work weekends

Desirable:

Relevant qualifications in health and social care Training in behaviour management techniques A full UK driving licence
Shifts : Days - Saturday 6hrs & Sunday 6hrs

Pay: 14.18-14.70 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 12 per week
