Health Care Support Workers
to join our
Adult Inpatient Services
team at
Dougie Mac
.
Our 28-bed specialist unit supports adults with life-limiting conditions, offering both palliative and end-of-life care. You'll be part of a 24/7 multidisciplinary team, ensuring patients receive outstanding holistic care in a calm, supportive environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Provide high-quality personal and physical care to patients
Support individuals and their families with dignity and compassion
Observe and report any changes in patient condition
Assist in the last days of life care and bereavement support
Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate documentation
Uphold hospice values, infection control and confidentiality standards
Engage in training and continuous development opportunities
What We're Looking For
If you're caring, committed, and want to work in a team that truly supports one another, we'd love to hear from you.
? Essential:
Experience in a caring or healthcare role
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Team player who can also work independently
Flexible to work a variety of day and night shifts
Numeracy and literacy skills (GCSEs or equivalent or willingness to work towards)
? Desirable:
NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care
Experience in palliative care or hospice settings
Confidence working with patients and families in a clinical environment
