The role

As a Health Physics Surveyor

,

you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be at the forefront of radiation safety, supporting critical operations at a nuclear power station. Day-to-day, you'll


Performing radiation and contamination surveys and completing reports in line with local arrangements Maintaining registers of sources and recording daily checks and defects Organising, setting up, and using air sampling equipment (where applicable) Function-checking Health Physics survey equipment and reporting any defects Providing Health Physics coverage of operations as directed by the Health Physics Supervisor




This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Whetstone site. You'll work Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:00/16:15 and Friday from 07:30 to 12:00.

Essential experience of the Health Physics Surveyor:

Experience is valued, but not essential, we're keen to hear from those with transferable skills and a willingness to learn

Qualifications for the Health Physics Surveyor:

You will hold one of the following:


A relevant science or engineering degree City & Guilds Stage 1 in Radiation Safety NVQ Level 2 in Radiation Protection

Alternatively, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Further details are available at United Kingdom Security Vetting: clearance levels - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
