A newly created Health & Safety Advisor vacancy, working for a leading global industrial manufacturing organisation. The position will be working closely with the Head of Health & Safety for this division of the business. It will be primarily based from their large site in peak district with occasional travel UK wide.
The Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

• Providing expert guidance and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation across cement works, depots, and terminals.
• Leading incident investigations and audits, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to improve safety performance.
• Developing and deliver training programs, including inductions and competency frameworks, while maintaining accurate training records.
• Promoting a proactive safety culture, benchmarking best practices, supporting legal compliance, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

The Health & Safety will have:

• NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent) and IOSH membership are essential; NEBOSH Diploma is advantageous.
• Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing environment
• Deep understanding of H&S legislation, risk assessment, auditing, behaviour-based safety, and ISO 45001 standards; strong communication and IT skills.
• Personal Attributes: Confident, self-sufficient, and integrity-driven, with excellent stakeholder engagement and the ability to lead under pressure.
