Health & Safety Advisor

Contract:

12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Full-Time)

Salary:

45,000 - 50,000 per annum

Location:

Based near Horsham (with site travel)

Reporting to:

Business Unit Managers & Group H&S Manager

Role Summary




This is a temporary opportunity to support Group-wide Health & Safety compliance and improvement. The postholder will assist in maintaining the Health & Safety Management System, ensuring legal compliance, conducting audits, promoting safe practices, and supporting operational teams across various sites.

Key Responsibilities



Support implementation and monitoring of the H&S Management System Conduct internal audits, inspections, and site visits Carry out risk assessments and assist in RAMS development Lead or support incident investigations and reporting Monitor and report on H&S performance and statistics Deliver toolbox talks and internal H&S training Liaise with external auditors, clients, and subcontractors Support H&S input into project tenders and meetings

Requirements



NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum); Diploma-level qualification desirable Relevant H&S experience, ideally in construction or manufacturing Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and HSE guidance Excellent communication and organisational skills CSCS Card and UK Driving Licence required
