BAM Infrastructure are currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth and we are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to meet the highest possible standards of SHE responsibilities and implement these across the business.



Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks. Candidates must hold a passport from an EU, NATO, Five Eyes, or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. Your mission

Supporting the Managers of H&S in the promotion and use of H&S policies and procedures in conjunction with KBJV Policies and Procedures. Assist the Manager of H&S to lead the development and implementation of Project H&S objectives, campaigns, and initiatives. When required, produce monthly and yearly H&S performance statistics and reports. Produce and publish H&S documentation to a high standard. Work closely with the operational teams in carrying out their roles and H&S responsibilities. Assist the operational teams in developing Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW). Support the operational teams in developing and reviewing of SSoW, permits and plans associated with the timely delivery of works. Conduct regular and robust health and safety Inspections & Audits as prescribed by the Inspection monitoring targets Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported in a timely manner, and are also effectively investigated, and actions are delivered and closed as per timescales prescribed. Assist Management teams in the development of health and safety-related documents. Advise and assist in the identification of health and safety training requirements. Undertake and plan 'Random' D&A Testing in accordance with KBJV process, support the project team in conducting 'For Cause' D&A testing. Where required support the induction, training and briefing of project staff. Who are we looking for?

NEBOSH Construction or General certificate Membership to IOSH (this can be at any level) Resilient, good team player with ability to communicate at all levels. Good verbal and written communication skills at all levels, paying attention to detail- both in proactive briefings and investigations, when communicating with operatives on site or Senior Management and Clients. Ability to work on own initiative, deliver key objectives while working under pressure and coping with stressful situations. Reliable, conscientious, and co-operative. Appreciation and understanding of when to escalate issues.



Desirable Three years practical H&S experience. Experience of working in Construction (CDM - Notifiable Projects) Environmental qualification (IEMA or equivalent). Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Standards. What's in it for you?
