What You Will Be Doing:



Key Responsibilities



In this position you will be part of the Health & Safety team at our Stowmarket site. You will:

Documentation:

Provide input into and help maintainan effective system of documentation and reporting

Training:

Develop, assist, and participate in Health and Safety training

Policies and procedures:

Embed relevant H&S policies, documentation and working instructions into Muntons' operations. Support documentation modification for local relevance and execution.

Incident investigation:

Complete investigations determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Inspections and audits:

perform regular safety inspections and audits and ensure compliance with safety standards, ensuring that corrective actions arising are dealt with to prevent reoccurrence.

Safety culture entrenched:

assist in the development and implementation of a safety-based intervention program that drives a robust and effective Health and Safety Culture at Muntons.

Emergency response:

conduct drills and execute emergency response plans.

Risk assessment:

lead gap analysis and associated risk assessments to mitigate risks.

Problem solving:

support root cause analysis on key issues.

Improvement

: Support cross functional collaboration to deliver improvements.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with relevant health and safetyregulations.

Own key processes -

lead the development and implementation of selected health and safety processes and systems for Muntons.

Key tasks:



Legislative Requirements:

Support the Health and Safety Manager to ensure the operations at Muntons comply with relevant legislative requirements.

Incident Investigation:

Ensure swift and thorough incident investigation.

Trend analysis:

Monitor relevant safety metrics to advise the Leadership Team on any trends and implement remedial actions.

Behavioural Safety Culture:

Contribute to a programme of engagement to ensure that all Muntons employees understand the importance of Health and Safety and proactively work in ways which minimise or mitigate risk

What We Are Looking For:



Essential Skills and Experience:



Qualifications:

Have NEBOSH or IOSH qualification in Health and Safety.

Experience:

Have at least 5 years' experience working in a food manufacturing or processing environment

Contribution:

Positively contribute to actions within the QSHE Team and wider business.
