Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to join our team at M&S Commercials Ltd. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe working environment across the company. You will play a key role in implementing health and safety and maintaining compliance with H&S regulations. You will also take the lead in HR matters within the company, including disciplinary actions. As a key team member in a dynamic small business environment, you will also be expected to take on a flexible range of duties supporting the company.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain H&S policies, procedures, and risk assessments. Conduct regular site inspections and audits.. Promote a strong safety culture and provide training and support to all staff. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation. Investigate incidents and accidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Where necessary complete RIDDOR reports. Conduct inductions Take the lead on HR within the company including investigations and disciplinary actions. Some knowledge of HR practices is required although HR support is available.

Requirements

Proven experience in health and safety management within an automotive or similar environment. NEBOSH qualification or similar. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail. First aid certification is an advantage Strong analytical skills for conducting risk assessments. Some knowledge of HR preferred.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 32,000.00-39,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 - 28 per week
