An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Health, Safety and Wellbeing department at Newport City Council.
The team is currently expanding to ensure robust compliance and a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation.
We are seeking to recruit a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner who will be responsible for leading on health and safety performance within their assigned service areas. The Business Partner will work collaboratively with leaders and managers across the council, and will be responsible for driving improvements, policy and change throughout the organisation.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed health and safety professional who is passionate about making a difference.
Ideally you will be a health and safety generalist who is experienced at providing health, safety and wellbeing advice and support to managers.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have project management experience to lead on health, safety and wellbeing initiatives.
You must be self-motivated, with excellent communication and influencing skills to enable us to drive forward and enhance our health and safety culture.

This is a permanent full-time post. Please note that the role requires hybrid working.
