Cosaf Environments Ltd is a leading specialist in the design and delivery of turnkey HVAC and building services solutions across industrial and commercial sectors in the UK. We are seeking an experienced
Health & Safety Manager
to lead our compliance agenda across multiple sites and support our commitment to the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental management.
The successful candidate will act as the competent person for health and safety matters across the business, ensuring we meet legal obligations, maintain accreditation, and promote a proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the company's health and safety strategy across office, workshop, and project delivery environments.
Act as the appointed competent person under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, CDM 2015, and other applicable regulations.
Develop and maintain RAMS templates, construction phase plans, and project-specific health and safety documentation.
Carry out site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks across operational project sites nationally.
Investigate incidents and near-misses, produce reports, and implement corrective actions.
Manage and maintain company accreditation (e.g., SafeContractor, ISO 45001).
Deliver internal health and safety training sessions or coordinate with external providers.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure shared understanding of site safety protocols.
Support environmental and quality standards in collaboration with the wider SHEQ function.
Essential Requirements
NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
Practical experience in a construction or building services environment
Up-to-date knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, CDM regulations, and site-based risk
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and advise all levels of the business
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Diploma
Grad IOSH or working toward CMIOSH
Experience supporting ISO systems
First Aid at Work qualification
Experience working in HVAC, M&E contracting, or industrial project environments
