Ridgeway & Co are proud to be partnering with a leading Groundworks and RC Frame contractor in their search for a Health & Safety Manager to join their dynamic team, based out of their London head office.
With a strong pipeline of major projects across the capital and beyond, our client is renowned for delivering high-quality structural and groundworks packages to tier one contractors and developers. As they continue to grow, maintaining the highest standards of health and safety remains at the core of their operations.
The Role:
The Health & Safety Manager will take a hands-on approach to leading all aspects of health and safety across multiple live construction sites, ensuring full compliance with current legislation and company standards. You'll play a key role in fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement H&S policies, procedures, and site-specific risk assessments Conduct regular site inspections and audits, reporting on findings and ensuring actions are followed up Provide advice and training to site teams, operatives, and management Investigate incidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and implementing corrective actions Liaise with clients, external consultants, and enforcement agencies when required Keep up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practices
Requirements:
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) Experience in a similar H&S role within groundworks / RC frame or civil engineering sector Strong knowledge of UK construction health and safety regulations Excellent communication and leadership skills Full UK driving licence (regular site visits required)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 58,000.00-70,000.00 per year
