We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Trainer to join our team. This is a remote role which involves delivering training primarily at customers premises to their cohorts as well as delivering our 'open course schedule' which feature open courses at regular locations that we host.
We deliver a range of training courses, some of which will likely be "new" to some candidates, but those with the correct skillset and an appetite to learn will quickly be able to learn and pick-up the content through working alongside our existing team.
Courses include:
- IOSH Working & Managing Safely
- Asbestos Awareness & Non-Licensed works
- SPA - Petrol Retail Forecourt Contractor Training
- Specialist Fuel handling training
- Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, Working at Height
- HHSRS
As well as delivering training we undertake construction site safety audits, safety consultancy services, qualitative and quantitative face fit testing as well as air purity inspections and other occupational hygiene related services. We are also an authorised distributor for several manufacturers of PPE and RPE.
We are a small but dynamic and driven team and frequently author our own courses to meet clients needs and requirements as well as our desired shifts in market offering.
We are looking for an individual that doesn't mind travelling to different sites and is keen to get stuck in, learning new things and helping to shape the direction and future of our business. We demand high standards of service that represents the ethos of our organisation.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a classroom setting, as well as undertaking inspections on sites and clients premises, keen to diversify themselves along with the changes within our business and to grow as the role changes. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and proficiency in IT to effectively design & deliver training sessions and assist our admin team in maintaining records.
Duties
Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programmes tailored to meet our customers requirements.
Educate others on health and safety regulations, emergency procedures, and best practices to minimise risks.
Conduct regular assessments of training effectiveness and make improvements as necessary.
Organise training sessions, workshops, and seminars, ensuring all materials are prepared in advance.
Collaborate with management to identify market-led safety training needs and develop strategies to address them.
Stay updated on industry regulations and trends related to health and safety.
Qualifications
NEBOSH General Certificate or Equivalent.
Level 3 Award in Education & Training / PTTLS
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Highly organised.
Proficient in IT applications for creating training materials and maintaining records.
A commitment to fostering a culture of safety within the workplace.
