The successful candidate will be expected to travel regularly across the Kensington, Chelsea, and Westminster boroughs, so will need to live in close proximity to these areas.

Since 2015, we have been delivering a range of evidence-based, person centred interventions and services, including: NHS Health Checks, Smoking Cessation, Weight Management and Type 2 Diabetes Prevention and Treatment. With over 220,000 people supported, we have helped them to improve their wellbeing, become healthier, and reduce their chances of developing illnesses.
What is the role about?
The main purpose of a Health & Wellbeing Coach is to support their caseload with identifying and setting realistic health goals, and supporting them to build the knowledge, motivation, and skills they need to make sustainable lifestyle changes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a wide range of people, has excellent communication and coaching skills, and is able to provide high-quality, non-judgemental advice and guidance.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Delivering 1:2:1 or group-based health and wellbeing interventions to a caseload of participants
Capturing key metrics at different points in the participants journey and progress
Liaise with professionals including GPs and primary care staff to promote and generate referrals to the service

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:
An understanding of or interest in working with individuals or groups to achieve health-related behaviour change, such as losing weight, moving more, eating better or stopping smoking.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with a wide range of people.
Ability to actively listen, empathise and provide personalised support in a non-judgemental way
Willingness and flexibility to travel to deliver programmes across designated region.
Ability to demonstrate coaching or mentoring experience, and persuasion/influencing skills through previous work or social activities
Desirable Attributes:
Fluency in community languages: Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Somali, Vietnamese, Dari, Yoruba, Turkish, French, Spanish, Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Guajarati, Polish, Serbian and Greek (dependent on location of service delivery).
Willingness to undertake evening and weekend work as required.
REPS Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification or equivalent, or
Level 3 qualification in health improvement or promotion or public health or equivalent (e.g. City & Guilds Level 3 Health Trainer or equivalent); or
Level 3 qualification in nutrition; or
Level 3 Training qualification (e.g. PTTLs / Award in Education & Training) or
NCSCT Certificate in Assessment of Knowledge & Skills to become an accredited and registered Smoking Cessation Practitioner including the following areas smoking cessation, mental health, pregnancy and post-partum period, VBA and second-hand smoke.
Experience of delivery group-based health or physical activity or advice & guidance interventions.
