Healthcare Assistant - Ward 42 Band 3 24 hours per week - Permanent
The Healthcare Assistant (HCA) will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of Ward 42. Working as part of the Multidisciplinary team, the post holder will provide compassionate, safe, and effective care to all our patients.

Please note that whilst the trust does offer sponsorship this role isunfortunately not eligible for visa sponsorshipunder the UK Health and Care Worker visa route. This is due to the position not meeting theminimum salary threshold of 25,000 per annumand/or the requiredskill levelset by UK Visas and Immigration.

Main duties of the job

  • Welcome, prepare & support patients on admission, during their stay & discharge from the Unit.
  • Assit patients with personal care needs, mobility & nutrition, while maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Carry our routine clinical observation's and accurately record/report findings to registered staff.
  • Adhere to infection control - cleaning of areas & equipment to ensure a clean safe, and organised environment.
  • Provide reassurance and clear communication/documentation to patients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in training, supervision and appraisal to support ongoing development.
