We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team and play a vital role in supporting our patients and clinicians. Responsibilities include:
Managing patient phone inquiries, taking messages for senior nurses and consultants, and offering advice and support to patients while consulting with senior staff as needed.
Booking appointments for various procedures including scans, blood tests, IUI procedures, egg collections, and review consultations.
Organising daily appointments, including sourcing patient notes, and preparing necessary forms and scan sheets.
Maintaining patient files, both paper and electronic, including filing paperwork, scanning documents, and archiving notes.
Obtaining and communicating test results to patients, seeking advice from consultants or senior nurses when required.
Handling nurses' and consultants' correspondence and providing appropriate responses, consulting senior staff as necessary.
Recording treatment and pregnancy outcomes and ensuring timely reporting to relevant authorities.
Inputting donor characteristics into the system and coordinating with the Donor Bank and Matching Coordinator.
Documenting patient correspondence via email and telephone accurately.
Creating new patient files and entering data from medical history questionnaires before initial consultations.
Additional Duties:
Assisting in operating theatre procedures by scrubbing and circulating.
Admitting and discharging patients, escorting them to and from Reception to Recovery areas.
Ensuring patient comfort following procedures.
Ordering and maintaining drug levels as per clinic's standard operating procedures.
Accurate charging using charge sheets after patient consultations. Completing patients' treatment plans in the system.
Ensuring cleanliness and infection control measures in ultrasound probes, theatre, recovery areas, including bed making, restocking, and reporting maintenance issues.
