Health Care Assistant

Location:

Bromley Park Care Centre, 75 Bromley Road, Beckenham, Kent, BR3 5PA

Contracted hours

: Days - 44 hours per week (4 shifts per week over a 7 day rota including every other weekend)

Hourly rate of pay

: 12.50 per hour


We are currently on the lookout for a positive and motivated individual to join our growing team as a Health Care Assistant. This important job role requires someone who is deeply passionate about caring for the elderly. They also need to have a genuine drive to manage a Care Team responsible for those using our services, including our residents, their families and visitors. You will have the opportunity to excel

whilst:


Providing physical and mental stimulation for residents by taking part in social and recreational activities, on a one-to-one and group basis Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing Assisting with mealtimes Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care Helping to maintain accurate records Undertaking regular ongoing training Developing relationships with our residents and their relatives in order to gain a better understanding of how to provide the best possible care

You will bring to the team:




Dedication and commitment to making a difference to others' lives Experience of working with people, in particular those that may have additional support needs e.g. people living with dementia An empathetic nature and a strong ability to communicate effectively Leadership and organisational skills (if applicable) Good IT skills (Outlook, Word) and ability to use authorised handheld devices (smartphones) to record

your activity/care events(as applicable) Excellent team-work ability
