As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of individuals in care homes and home care settings. Duties

Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities. Help implement and follow care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Monitor and report any changes in the health or behaviour of residents to the nursing staff. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, ensuring hygiene standards are upheld. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere. Document and maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during shifts. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members. Proficiency in IT skills for maintaining records and using healthcare software systems. Experience or knowledge of care home environments and home care practices is highly desirable. Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately. A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles that require transportation of clients or travel between locations. Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
