Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly GP practice team.
We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and motivated individual to take on the post of Healthcare Assistant (HCA). The successful candidate will support clinicians in delivering high quality, patient-centred care. You will work closely with GP's, Practice nurses and administrative staff to ensure a smooth, efficient service and a positive experience for our patients.
This is a 22.5 hour role, covering Wednesday-Friday each week.
Main duties of the job

  • Perform clinical observations, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight and BMI
  • Undertake phlebotomy and obtain samples for testing
  • Support chronic disease management reviews under the guidance of the nursing team
  • Administer selected vaccines and injections
  • Conduct NHS Health Checks and support health promotion activity
  • Prepare and maintain clinical rooms, ensuring equipment is clean and stocked
  • Accurately record patient information using clinical systems
  • Support clinicians during minor surgery and coil clinics
  • Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care at all times.
