We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the team at HMP Wymott, a Category C male prison located in Leyland. HMP Wymott has capacity of around 1,100, and has a varied and complex population.
Hours:
This is a full time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week, between 20:30 - 07:30.Shifts are usually 7 on, 7 off, although we can be flexible on this.
Salary:
This position is full time , you'll receive an annual salary of 24,669 - 28,690 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
Ensure continuity of care for all patients, and deliver outstanding care at all times
Work across all areas of care, including inpatients, clinics, primary care, health promotion, bloods etc
Respond to emergency situations as needed
Work holistically with your patients and other healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing associates, pharmacy etc
Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback
Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics

Our new Healthcare Assistant will: Hold a NVQ Level 2 / 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent
Have experience within a healthcare setting - hospital, community or secure setting
Have clinical experience, such as bloods, obs, ECGs etc
Any experience in primary care or inpatients would be a bonus!
