An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Health care assistant to join the Nutrition Nurse team at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
This post is open to employees of the five LAASP organisations. As part of your
application, you will be asked to confirm that you are a current employee of The
Clatterbridge Centre, Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, Liverpool University
Hospitals, Liverpool Women's Hospital or, The Walton Centre.
The post holder is expected to assist the team in providing the highest possible standard of care for patients and their families/carers.
You must be able to demonstrate experience in a hospital setting working at NVQ L2, must be signed off on the Care Certificate.
Successful applicants will be given further training and support to facilitate professional growth and career progression.
The role will involve participating in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. Participating in all aspects of patient care, you will give particular attention to assisting the nutrition nurses to place vascular access devices and enteral feeding tubes as well as ordering stock. You will be trained to undertake vascular access device surveillance and dressing changes.
You will work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families. You will undertake a range of skilled tasks and duties with support from the Nutrition nurses.
