We are expanding our team across the Orkney Islands and hiring a new Healthcare Assistant to join us at Marie Curie. We are looking for someone from Orkney to support our Hospice Care at Home Service.

We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team delivering high-quality, person-centred end-of-life care. You'll work closely with patients and their loved ones, supporting their physical, emotional, and practical needs as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Salary

: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) 12.60 - 13.69 per hour + Island Allowance

What we're looking for:

Experience in a health or social care setting, ideally with palliative or end-of-life care NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it) A kind, empathetic approach and excellent communication skills Ability to support personal care, mobility, nutrition, and comfort needs Willingness to work flexibly, including nights and weekends Commitment to upholding dignity, respect, and patient choice
