Healthcare Assistant - SEN and SEMH Education Setting
Location: Peterlee
Pay: 90-110 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support children with additional needs within a specialist education setting.
This role combines healthcare, emotional support and education-based care, ensuring pupils feel safe, supported and able to access learning.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils with physical, medical or personal care needs
- Monitoring wellbeing and responding to pupils' needs
- Providing reassurance and emotional support
- Supporting pupils' access to education
- Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN professionals
- Has experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role
- Is confident supporting children with additional needs
- Is professional, compassionate and reliable
- Understands the importance of dignity and safeguarding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
