We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker to join the Primary Care team at HMP Risley, a category C prison located in the Risley area of Warrington.
This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. HMP Risley has an operational capacity of around 1100 inmates, and is a 20 minute drive from Warrington, and 30 minutes from Wigan.
Hours:
This is a full time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week. This role is mainly day shifts (inc weekends) between 07:30 - 20:30, with 1 week of nights every 5 weeks.
Salary:
This position is full time , you'll receive an annual salary of 25,557 - 29,723 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

• Ensure continuity of care for all patients, and deliver outstanding care at all times
• Work across all areas of care, including inpatients, clinics, primary care, health promotion, bloods etc
• Respond to emergency situations as needed
• Work holistically with your patients and other healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing associates, pharmacy etc
• Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback
• Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics

• Hold a NVQ Level 2 / 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or equivalent
