Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals and providing high-quality care to patients. This position requires a proactive individual who is committed to enhancing the well-being of those in their care.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive environment. Help with meal preparation and feeding assistance as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of patient areas, ensuring a safe environment. Assist healthcare professionals with medical procedures and documentation as needed. Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development opportunities.

Skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds. Empathy and compassion towards patients' needs and concerns. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Basic knowledge of healthcare practices and procedures is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records and care plans. Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and patient needs.
