We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category B Prison located in London. Hours This position is full time working 37.5 hours per week on a rotational basis, including weekends. Shift patterns are below. Monday to Friday - 9 hours shifts (07:30 to 17:30) Weekends & Bank Holidays - 8 hour shifts (08:30 to 17:30) Salary This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to 32134 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
• Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications required

• NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Good IT skills and IT literacy
• Ability to work within a busy environment
• Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
