We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist clients with daily activities.
Duties
Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
Monitor and document changes in clients' health and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes effectively.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
Basic IT skills to manage documentation and use electronic health records efficiently.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
A caring attitude with a passion for helping others is essential.
