To provide compassionate care and support (e.g. non-medical, personal, overnight, respite and live-in care) to all our service users, ensuring they live independently and maintain their well-being in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Personal Care Support:
Assisting service users with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and continence care, while maintaining respect and privacy.
Medication Assistance:
Administering or prompting and maintaining accurate records of medication according to the service user's care plan.
Mobility and Physical Support
: Assisting service users with safe movement around the home, use of mobility aids, and transfer to and from beds or chairs, promoting physical independence.
Meal Preparation and Nutrition
: Planning, preparing and serving meals that meet the service user's dietary needs and preferences & supporting them to maintain adequate hydration and nutrition.
Household and Domestic Tasks
: Undertaking light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment is maintained at all times.
Emotional and Social Support
: Offer companionship and emotional support, including engaging service users in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and community activities to enhance their well-being.
Monitoring and Reporting
: Observing and accurately recording any changes in service users' physical or mental health, and reporting any concerns promptly to Care Coordinators or the Registered Manager.
Compliance and Professional Conduct
: Following care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures, and maintaining confidentiality, attending training, and adhering to Care Quality Commission and TSF Healthcare Solutions' standards.
Other Duties
To comply with TSF Healthcare Solutions' Health and Safety and other policies and procedures, following designed Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and reporting any incidents or near misses using internal Incident Reporting Systems.
To actively support TSF Healthcare Solutions' commitment to equality and diversity.
To safeguard and promote the welfare of all Service Users.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Care Certificate).
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
Any other Care related Certificates (e.g. Health & Safety, Moving & Handling; Medication Administration, etc) will be an added advantage.
Previous experience in a care or support role (desirable but not essential - full training provided).
Must be willing to undergo training and continuous professional development as required by the needs of the service.
