Wombwell Hall is a 120 bedded care facility in Wombwell Gardens, Northfleet - offering dedicated, sensitive and person centred care, and exceptional support to every resident, and their families and loved ones on their care journey.

We care for a wide variety of folks with varying needs - residential, nursing, Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia and cognitive impairment, specialist nursing conditions, palliative and 'end of life' care, and those benefitting both from day care and care in their own home...

A rare opportunity: we are seeking to add team member(s) to our Healthcare Assistants and Care team, supporting our residents daily living needs and choices, and enhancing their dignity and quality of life.

There are potentially both FT and PT roles available, from 12 - 48 hours per week.

Duties


As a Team Member, your responsibilities will include:

Alongside your colleagues, assisting residents with their personal care and a wide variety of activities of daily living, contributing to each of our residents living their best lives! Other parts of your role might also include supporting our residents to enjoy their meals, encouraging them to choose how they dress, supporting them to enjoy the varied programme of events and entertainment available to them Our commitment to 'person centred care for all', means that you will work with your colleagues to ensure that every resident regardless of their needs, challenges or presentation can benefit from our care and input, and can be 'reached' in one way or another... Providing companionship and emotional support to residents, their families and loved ones, thereby fostering a warm and friendly environment. Supporting residents with dementia care needs, employing patience and understanding in all interactions. Assisting in maintaining a clean and safe environment within the care home, adhering to health and safety regulations. Participating in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge, as part of our commitment to ongoing personal and professional development opportunities for all our team members.

About you:


The successful candidate may well have :

Some experience in a similar role would be welcome, but not absolutely essential - transferrable sills, a caring personality personality and willingness to learn all just as important - be a nice person! Strong communication skills, both verbal and written English, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of residents, families, colleagues - in fact, the ability to engage with ANYONE would be ideal... A compassionate and caring nature with a heartfelt and genuine desire to help others and be a life changer on a daily basis. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of taking initiative when required and working on your own/taking ownership A commitment to maintaining the confidentiality, dignity and respect of all residents and our home at all times. Reliability, adaptability and a willingness to 'go the extra mile' as standard - this is not your average 9-5 job...oh no! That 'box' was made to 'think outside of'...and you should be the one to do it! You should most likely expect alternate weekend working and some bank holidays... We never close! Passion, pride, perseverance, desire for perfection - endless patience coupled with a boundless sense of humour! All very useful skills and traits...!
