This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-faith/ belief team at the Northern Care Alliance Trust based at Salford Care Organisation. As a member of the Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care team, you will be working in a diverse setting, and will be required to respond to the spiritual, religious, cultural and pastoral needs of patients, visitors and colleagues. This full-time position or potential job share includes participating in a shared on-call rota with other chaplains and would require you to be able to travel to the hospital within an hour.
Previous experience of healthcare chaplaincy and the NHS is essential. You will provide spiritual care to all seeking support. This will involve ward visiting to provide general pastoral/ emotional care etc; leading and facilitating services/ rituals according to requirements; sharing in the recruitment and supervision of band 5 chaplains and chaplaincy volunteers; and responding to referrals. You will lead in providing spiritual care in critical care and high dependency areas. You will support and assist the Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care Manager in the management of the department and development of the chaplaincy team/service.
