The role




Own and manage all NBSS & SRFT cloud environments. Maintain and develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud environment management. Design and implement robust technical solutions on Microsoft Azure using IaC and CI/CD techniques. Architect and migrate platforms to Azure, building equivalent functionality in cloud infrastructure. Review existing cloud environments for security, policy, reliability, operational excellence, and cost improvements, and recommend/implement changes. Document infrastructure, applications, and best practices. Administer Azure DevOps, including maintaining and designing DevOps pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments. Coach and upskill NBSS team members in Azure. Work with the security lead to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary actions. Attend the NBSS Solutions Board and deliver to agreed timelines, costs, and priorities. Support the service with complex incidents or activities as required. Identify and notify the Service Director of new opportunities. Ensure delivery meets timelines and commitments ("on time and on promise").



What you'll bring




Exceptional planning, organizational, and project management skills. Resilience and the ability to manage challenges effectively. Proven liaison experience with third parties, clients, and end-users. ITIL Foundation certification as a minimum. Azure Administrator certification as a minimum. Proven ability to provide coaching and support to colleagues. Azure Solutions Architect certification preferred. Experience managing cloud environments in multiple large projects. Awareness of Agile and SCRUM methodologies. Familiarity with ITMS tools such as ServiceNow. Healthcare sector experience, particularly in Breast or Cancer Screening programmes preferred. Knowledge of documentation standards. Keeping up to date with NHS information, government standards, and industry trends.
