JOB TITLE: Healthcare Receptionist / Scan Assistant

SERVICE: Private Ultrasound Clinic

LOCATION: Carlisle

HOURS: Zero hours contract (Hours to be discussed, Days/Evenings/Weekends) Weekend cover is essential Saturday OR Sunday

PAY: 12.21 per hour

Baby I Love You is a private ultrasound studio offering a range of packages for new expectant mums. Due to the continued growth of the business, we have a position available for a Healthcare Receptionist / Scan Assistant. The role will be on an ad-hoc flexible basis.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual with a very outgoing personality, who can join our fantastic team. The role is focused around offering an outstanding customer experience from the initial enquiry right through to the scanning experience and after care support. It is essential to have previous customer service experience and the ability to work in a busy environment. Excellent communication and organisational skills are key to this role. Full training will be provided on successful appointment.

Roles and Responsibilities

Reception Duties

Dealing with general enquiries face to face/over the phone/email/social media Taking bookings and managing our booking system Taking payments Meeting and greeting customers ensuring an outstanding experience is followed throughout the visit, ensuring all guests feel welcome and looked after General admin duties which include the use of all Microsoft packages. Filing and organisation of customer booking forms Stock management including ordering and replenishment Liaising with third party suppliers Knowledge and understanding of all Baby I Love You packages and services Upselling of additional products Knowledge and understanding of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Comply with health and safety procedures and report any concerns to the nominated manager Preparing all photographs and keepsakes for the customer to take away Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is kept throughout the studio which includes general cleaning duties
Scan Assistant Duties

Assisting the Sonographer in the scan room Communicating with the customers and their guests making them feel comfortable and reassured at all times Interaction with the families at all times ensuring they have a memorable perfect experience Ability to deal with difficult and challenging situations To ensure strict confidentiality protocols are adhered to at all times Basic understanding of machinery to access records and print images Preparing and cleaning the scan room room and equipment
Essential Skills

Personality is key to the role, you must be an outgoing, natural people person who is approachable with a bright, bubbly personality An excellent customer experience is what our company is built around, it is therefore essential that every customer receives an outstanding customer experience. Previous customer service skills and experience in a similar role is essential Excellent communicator Computer literate and fully competent with all Microsoft packages with a technical skill and ability with spreadsheets Brilliantly organised Ability to work well alone and as part of a team using your own initiative Previous experience in a busy, fast paced customer service role working under pressure DBS clear to ensure suitability for the post Highly driven and motivated Enthusiastic Problem Solver Hard Working Flexible To build a fantastic knowledge of Baby I Love You packages ensuring you follow company policies and procedures as set out in our operations manual Previous experience working to confidentiality rules and regulations
Desirable skills

Knowledge and understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC) Previous experience working in a sensitive environment Social media and marketing awareness
