Job Description

Healthcare Support Assistant (Children & Young People) - Sunderland/Peterlee
Pay: 89 to 110 per day
Start: Immediate
Contract: Long-term
If you've worked in health or care and want to bring your skills into a school environment, this is a brilliant crossover role.
You'll support pupils with physical, medical and sensory needs, working alongside teachers, physios and specialist staff in a caring, structured setting.
Your role:

Supporting physical care routines and mobility needs
Helping run structured learning and sensory activities
Assisting with communication and emotional regulation
Ensuring pupils feel safe, supported and included

We're keen to speak to people with:

Care experience (community, NHS, residential or personal care)
Experience with hoists, feeding plans or personal care, or open to training
A warm, respectful approach to supporting children with complex needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
