Salary:

12:40 - 13.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Hours:

Part-time Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (20 - 30 hours)

The Role



We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and friendly individual to join our nursing team as a Healthcare Support Worker. This is a multi-skilled role and you will play a crucial role in our patient's healthcare journeys.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:



Appointments:

See patients for a variety of different reasons including but not limited to phlebotomy, taking blood pressure readings, weight height readings, woundcare and dressings.

Administration:

Manage general administrative duties, including processing tasks and patient queries, actioning GP tasks and updating patient records, completion of QOF tasks.

Housekeeping:

Keeping rooms stocked up with relevant equipment and supplies by completing regular checks.

Communication:

Act as a communication hub between patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.

Confidentiality:

Work in a way that recognises the importance of patient rights and confidentiality, adhering to practice policies and data protection legislation.

About You



The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and remain calm and professional under pressure.

Essential Skills & Experience:



Previous experience in a healthcare role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and professional attitude. Strong IT literacy and confidence in using computer systems. Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as part of a team. A good standard of literacy and numeracy.

Desirable (but not essential):



Care Certificate completed or will consider working towards completion. Knowledge of a clinical system such as SystmOne or EMIS Web.
