Job Description

Hours - 30 hours per week. Monday - Sunday between 9am - 8pm - 3 long shifts per week.
Here at Practice Plus Group, we are looking for a healthcare support worker to join the team at HMP Altcourse - the busiest remand prison in the country! Is it challenging? Yes! Is it rewarding...Yes! But you will be supported at all times, and you can really can make a difference.
We're looking for dedicated, caring and compassionate people to help deliver the best care possible.
Joining the primary care team, you will:

Run clinics on the wings, including bloods and vaccinations.
Be involved in care packages, including phlebotomy, venepuncture, ECGs and observations.
Respond to emergency situations.
Work with the wider nursing team across the prison.

What do we need from you:

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or Care Certificate.
Clinical knowledge - venepuncture, phlebotomy would be a bonus!
A caring approach, with the drive to help those in your care.
