Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust are looking for a Band 3 Healthcare support worker to support the urology team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
As a member of the urology team, you will assist the multidisciplinary team in delivering exceptional patient care according to the values of the Trust. This patient-focused care is supported by a registered professional.
We are looking for an individual with good organisational skills, excellent IT and communication skills, and the ability to both work under their own initiative and follow directions.

Main duties of the job
As a member of the Urology team, you will assist the multidisciplinary team in delivering exceptional patient care according to the values of the Trust. This patient-focused care is supported by a registered professional.
The Senior Health Care Worker role will assist with maintaining a safe care environment, which includes preparing patient areas and cleaning equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Under the guidance of qualified staff, you will be accountable for delivering efficient, sensitive and appropriate care to meet patients' needs, with respect, kindness and compassion. Reporting any observed changes to patient's physical and psychological needs to qualified staff.
You will maintain accurate documentation and patient confidentiality whilst recording, handling and conveying information between the multidisciplinary team, patients, relatives and visitors.
You will be required to co-operate and maintain good relationships within your team, the wider multidisciplinary team, the patients and their escorts who use our service.
