Healthcare Technician - Permanent and Fixed Term vacancies available - full time.

About us: This is an exciting opportunity to join the Technical Services Department at Glenside Campus, UWE. Technical Services support the School of Health and Social Wellbeing. This is a practical role, that primarily will be student facing assisting academic colleagues and Technical Instructors with the support and delivery of clinical skills workshops and simulation activity. A part of the role will be helping to devise and lesson plan, investigate and purchase equipment and simulation aids. Due to cohort size, this will be with Nursing and Midwifery Students, but also our other health students including physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, radiography and paramedic science.

About you: we are seeking someone who is a registered healthcare professional. You will have an excellent clinical skills set, and will have up to date knowledge in this area. You will be a team player and a clear communicator. You will have a passion for practical teaching and will have mentored students or colleagues. You will be able to think creatively and enjoy working with others to create a positive learning environment for our students.

This is a fixed-term post for 12 months from the start date and is full-time working 37 hours per week. There is also a permanent vacancy available.

This post is not available on a job share basis.
