to provide technical assistance, troubleshooting, and on-site support for domestic and commercial heat pump installations across the Central Belt of Scotland. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, a solid understanding of heat pump and HVAC systems, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service to installers, homeowners, and partners.
This role involves a mix of field-based work, remote technical support, and liaison with internal teams to ensure efficient resolution of product issues and continually improve customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Provide remote and on-site diagnostics for air?source and/or ground?source heat pump systems.
Identify system faults, propose corrective actions, and complete repairs or adjustments as required.
Support installers with commissioning, system optimisation, and best?practice setup.
Sales
Support the sales team in delivering technical tender packages and follow up calls with existing customers.
Deliver clear, professional aftersales support to customers, installers, and service partners.
Handle escalated technical queries and ensure timely resolution.
Provide guidance on system usage, controls, and maintenance requirements.
Aftersales & Service Operations
Complete service reports, documentation, and technical feedback forms.
Work closely with the Aftersales Team, Product Support, and R&D to escalate recurring issues.
Assist in warranty assessments and provide technical input for claims.
Training & Continuous Improvement
Support training sessions for installers and service partners on heat pump technology, system setup, and troubleshooting.
Provide feedback to engineering teams on product performance and potential improvements.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience working with heat pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, or renewable heating systems.
Strong diagnostic and problem?solving skills.
F?Gas qualification (Category 1 preferred) or equivalent technical certification.
Understanding of electrical and plumbing systems relevant to heat pump installations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
Experience with specific brands (e.g., Mitsubishi Ecodan, Vaillant, Daikin, NIBE, Samsung, etc.).
Knowledge of domestic hot water controls, underfloor heating, and buffer systems.
Experience in customer-facing technical support roles.
Electrical qualification (18th Edition or similar).
