We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support clients with mobility and transfer needs using appropriate techniques and equipment
Help clients with meal preparation and feeding, respecting dietary requirements and preferences
Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring consistency and quality of care
Monitor and record changes in clients' health or behaviour, reporting any concerns to senior staff
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' wellbeing
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems or paper records
Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members to ensure coordinated care delivery
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to maintain a safe environment for all
Qualifications
Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations
Good command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate records and following digital care plans
Excellent communication skills with a caring attitude and the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others' wellbeing
