Our Vacancy

We're looking for two Heating and Billing Managers to join our Mechanical Services team and take operational responsibility for the delivery of heat network billing across our portfolio. In this role, you'll manage billing and income collection services for approximately 250 heat networks, ensuring full cost recovery and compliance with Heat Trust standards. You'll work closely with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to deliver a first-class service to our customers while driving improvements and efficiencies. This is a key role in supporting the sustainable delivery of heat and hot water services and contributing to the development and implementation of our new strategy. You will be required to attend the office a minimum of two days per week for meetings and collaboration.

What you'll do




On a day-to-day basis, you'll oversee billing operations, manage income recovery processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. You'll act as the first point of contact for residents and local officers regarding billing queries, analyse billing data to monitor performance, and identify opportunities for improvement. You'll manage relationships with third-party suppliers, attend monthly and quarterly review meetings, and produce reports on service performance. You'll also support the development of a 'one team' culture, working collaboratively with Housing Operations and other departments to raise the profile of the Heat Networks team and deliver excellent customer service.

What you'll need



Experience in contractor and stakeholder management Strong background in income and debt recovery processes Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel and Word Awareness of heat network best practice and standards, with a degree or working towards a professional qualification in Heat Networks
