We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heating Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities
Install, service, and repair heating systems including boilers, radiators, and associated pipework
Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance
Diagnose faults accurately and implement effective solutions promptly
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to modify or assemble components as required
Perform heavy lifting of equipment or materials safely and efficiently
Read technical drawings and schematics to guide installation and repair tasks
Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during operations
Assist with plumbing tasks related to heating systems and ensure compliance with relevant standards
Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of equipment or materials when necessary
Qualifications
Proven experience in heating system installation, maintenance, or repair is essential
Relevant trade qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Plumbing & Heating or Mechanical Engineering preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting tasks
Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in confined spaces or at heights when required
Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles is advantageous
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
