Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Heating Engineer will ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Duties

Install and maintain heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating. Conduct regular inspections and servicing of heating equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with heating systems, providing effective solutions. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as necessary for repairs and installations. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including plumbers and electricians, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times while on-site. Assist in heavy lifting and assembly tasks as required during installations or repairs.

Skills

Strong plumbing knowledge with experience in heating system installations. Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation. Excellent mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Carpentry skills for any necessary structural modifications during installations. Capability for heavy lifting when required during equipment installation or removal. A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for transportation of materials to job sites.
