Heating Engineer - Gas & Renewables (Edinburgh Heating)

Are you an experienced Heating Engineer who wants more than just boiler servicing and repairs?

We're expanding into the renewable energy market and are looking for a skilled, motivated engineer to join our growing team in Edinburgh. This is an opportunity to work on a range of domestic projects now -- and step into the increasing heat pump market.

Our work is varied throughout the year:

Summer:

lots of gas boiler servicing and installation work.

Winter:

fault-finding, repair work, and the occasional emergency swap.

All year:

Smart heating controls, system installs, and supporting our installation team.

Future:

a major focus on heat pumps and low-temperature heating systems.

The Role

As a key member of our team, you'll:

Service, maintain and occasionally install gas boilers and controls. Gain further training in renewable tech, heat pumps, and efficiency systems. Diagnose and resolve faults while providing excellent customer service. Support installs and develop skills in system design and integration.

What We're Looking For

NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) in plumbing/heating. Competent fault-finder and repairer. Comfortable with heating system wiring (S-plan, Y-plan) or keen to learn. Current ACS (and ideally ASHP qualifications, though not essential). Strong customer service skills -- face-to-face and over the phone. Proactive, adaptable, and eager to grow with us.

Bonus Points For:

Renewable heating experience. F-Gas qualification (or willingness to train with our support).
