Blue Flame Heating & Electrical is a proudly local, employee-owned business based in Penryn. For over 35 years, we've been delivering expert installation, maintenance, and repair of heating and electrical systems to homes and businesses across Cornwall. While we're well known for our work with traditional gas heating and hot water systems, we're also passionate about low-carbon technologies, energy-saving solutions, and all things electrical.

As our customer base continues to grow, we're looking to expand our friendly and professional Maintenance & Repair team. We're on the lookout for a confident, approachable, and skilled Heating Engineer who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering top-quality service.

What You'll Be Doing:



Maintenance & Servicing: Carrying out routine checks and annual servicing on heating and hot water systems to keep them running safely and efficiently.

Responsive Repairs: Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs or part replacements to get systems back up and running.

Troubleshooting: Using your technical know-how and diagnostic tools to solve more complex issues.

Testing & Compliance: Performing safety checks and inspections to ensure systems meet all relevant standards and regulations.

Call-Out Rota: Participate in a call-out rota with additional retainer payments.

Customer Advice: Recommending upgrades or energy-efficient improvements to help customers get the most from their systems.

Customer Service: Providing clear, honest communication and delivering a service that leaves customers smiling.

Health & Safety: Always working safely and in line with gas safety and other relevant regulations.

Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate service reports and inspection records.

Continuous Learning: Staying up to date with the latest technologies, regulations, and best practices.

What We're Looking For:



Relevant qualifications and experience in domestic heating systems (commercial gas qualifications are preferred but not essential).

Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

A friendly, confident personality with great communication skills.

Organised and comfortable using modern communication tools and software.

A team player with a willingness to learn and grow.

A focus on quality, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

A full UK driving licence.
